2020 has been a whirlwind. I started the year with a month long trip to Australia, hiking incredible trails by the ocean and having plenty of Shiraz. I was savoring every moment of this once-in-a-lifetime trip when the news broke about coronavirus. Reading articles about the outbreak in China while very far away was both confusing and nerve-wracking. After all, Shanghai has been my home for the past 3 years. Like many, I had exciting travel plans lined up for 2020 (Bangkok, Tbilisi, Tokyo and more) until COVID-19 came along. My last spring break as an undergraduate is finally beginning! I’ll be traveling with my friend Christina, who I studied abroad with in London, to Belize and Guatemala for one week. So far, our itinerary includes stops at Belize City, San Ignacio, Tikal, and Caye Caulker. Have any suggestions? I’d love to hear them! I’m looking for all types of delicious foods and adventures. Get ready for some colorful Central American blog posts. With love, eatprayjade x.
I’ll be traveling through Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand from January 11th-23rd, and I can’t wait to share all my findings! I’m going to try to include daily posts on all the cities my friend Mizuha, who explored Tokyo with me this summer, and I go to. This includes Ho Chi Minh, Phnom Penh, Siam Reap, Bangkok, and Ko Samui. If you have any recommendations, travel tips, or must-eats, let me know! love, eatprayjade x.
Some days it rains, and everything is dark and gloomy. But I’ve found there’s beauty in that gloominess too. Here are some gorgeous photos of a city I lived in for a year and love even now. Look at this incredibly gallery of London in the rain here. ‘It will never rain roses: when we want to have more roses, we must plant more roses.’ – George Elliot love, eatprayjade x.
One of my favorited buzzfeed articles features gorgeous photos of cities that never sleep. If the busy hum of cities is something you have fond memories of, hope you enjoy these city lights the way I do. love, eatprayjade x.
